Geordie Shore.
This intro is 23 seconds long and consists of 9 shots, but has two shots within each shot in the background. they talk alot about Geordie's (linking into the name of the series) and also has newcastle in the background of each character showing the location for people who dont know what a 'Geordie' is. They use red in the overlay/background to show love/danger as theres always so much drama and love hate relationships going on within the 'family'.

The Only Way Is Essex.
This intro is 20 seconds long and consists of 22 shots within it. The music used is quite jazzy and the lyrics tie into the name of the series itself. The shots are very quick and are either a full body shot or a close up of a hand or a face. The colour purple has been used all over the intro as it signifies royalty, wealth and power which is how the series is portrayed, especially the wealthy aspect. We also get the feeling of wealth with the shots zooming into the diamond rings and how well dressed the characters are.

CLIQUE INTRO SEQUENCE
"VFX and titles AxisVFX and Jumbla
Client Balloon Entertainment
Brief Deliver a title sequence and photo-real visual effects shots for the 6 x 60-minute drama about childhood friends in their first term at university.
How it was done For the series finale, the AxisVFX team created environment matte paintings and animated CGI digital doubles of the show’s stars. Houdini and Maya were used for the 3D, with compositing in Nuke and matte paintings in Adobe Photoshop.
Australian design studio Jumbla worked with AxisVFX on the show’s titles. Stills from pivotal scenes were treated with colour and texture to produce a sophisticated sequence that alludes to the show’s core narrative. Using Photoshop and After Effects, images move in and out of clarity alongside a hypnotic musical arrangement.
The Farm completed picture and sound post.

I decided to change my idea from focusing on 'clique' to making a more futuristic simple sequence. i tried out some techniques for the CLIQUE idea but they didn't turn out as well as i had hoped.
These were my attempts at the CLIQUE idea, i used a scatterize effect on After Effects but i didn't feel it created the right vibe for my sci fi and i couldn't get it perfect for each clip so i decided to create a new idea.
i found a lot of stock footage relevant to the stories within the sci fi series so i felt this may be a better way of creating the intro sequence, and within my level and skill of work, rather than trying to attempt something which would end up not looking its best.

I'm now focusing on true detectives and how it is made, using overlays of two or more pictures together to make one object/ image.
I used this image of DNA to show how one of the episodes is about a virus/ medicine, overlaid with a shot of traffic again showing modern technology with the lights, making it loo interesting.
I overplayed two images onto of each other for each shot shown on my intro sequence. i used modern footage overplayed over rural landscapes to show the modern world meeting nature etc, this shows the post apocalyptic side of the stories within FUTURE:TENSE.
I used these colours especially for the shot on the right, as a started off focusing on the intro for 'CLIQUE' and the blue and yellow was used in it as a main colour, to give it that sic fi feel.

The shot on the left was to show more technology and give it that modern day but sci fi feel, showing its not as different as we may think even if it is set in the future. and for the shot on the right i used another landscape with construction infant, showing the construction and take over of the planet, and how the planet is getting ruined by us.
I used this shot to represent a 'hand of God' for any religious views shown in the serious, and also represent aliens coming down to the planet as a lot religious people do not believe in aliens and how God created everything but this shows that maybe its all a lie after all and how we aren't alone in the universe. i overlayed footage of a black and white hand coming down into the shot onto a time lapsed landscape of fields which is all stock footage i had found free to use.
I picked the soundtrack that i did because i was inspired by the 'stranger things' theme tune and wanted one like it. It has a real sic fi theme to it and is very atmospheric which is good for the title sequence. Also the fact it has no lyrics is quite good for the sequence because sometimes lyrics can give off the wrong vibe for a genre.
i used this cool futuristic preset on after effects to create a title to fit in with the sic fi genre. i added to pre sets over each other and i thought it went well with the gloomy atmospheric music at the end of the sequence to keep the audience gripped and to give it a professional look.
I ended up creating this as my title sequence as my initial idea was too hard for me to recreate well within the time i had been given for this topic, i wanted to create an eerie sic fi feel and i didn't think id be able to get all the footage and effects i needed to recreate the 'clique' sequence to the best of my abilities and also to collect interesting footage from near where i live.

I tried to create the true detective effect by overlaying objects onto people and vice versa, i think i created this very well but as mine is a sci fi, i made mine more colourful than the true detective intro as thats more drama based and also used objects effective for my theme.
